OUR HERITAGE

Four generations of Italian woodworking, built in the Philippines.

Giovanni Boschi founded Giardini Del Sole in 1992, carrying his family's carpentry tradition from Italy to Mandaue City — not to import furniture, but to build it, at a scale Italian workshops alone could not reach.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Italian proportion and joinery, not Italian import

Every piece follows classical Italian proportion, detailing and joinery — the same discipline Giovanni Boschi trained in before founding the company. But this is not furniture imported from Italy and resold: it is designed and built from solid hardwood in our own Cebu factory, by artisans we have trained ourselves.

That combination — Italian design discipline at Filipino manufacturing scale — is what lets us serve wholesale and hospitality volumes that a boutique Italian workshop never could.

An Italian heritage furniture factory in the Philippines

Giardini Del Sole is an Italian-designed solid wood furniture manufacturer, not a reseller of imported Italian pieces. Founder Giovanni Boschi carried four generations of Italian carpentry tradition to Mandaue City, Cebu in 1992, training the factory's Filipino artisans directly in Italian joinery, proportion and finishing standards — Italian craftsmanship applied at a manufacturing scale a family workshop in Italy could never reach on its own.

That heritage shows in the details: mitred solid-wood joinery, classical proportion in tables and case goods, and finishing techniques passed down through the Boschi family rather than copied from a catalogue. For buyers comparing an Italian heritage furniture factory in Asia against boutique European workshops, the difference is capacity — the same design discipline, produced at wholesale and hospitality volume.

Frequently asked questions

Is Giardini Del Sole furniture imported from Italy?

No — every piece is designed and manufactured in our own Cebu factory. The Italian element is the founder's design and joinery tradition, not the country of manufacture.

What Italian design influences shape your furniture?

Classical proportion, solid-wood joinery methods and finishing techniques carried from four generations of the Boschi family's carpentry tradition in Italy.

How were Filipino artisans trained in Italian joinery techniques?

Directly by the founder and, over three decades, by artisans trained within the factory — knowledge passed on internally rather than through outside contractors.

Do you produce fully custom pieces to a designer's specification?

Yes — our OEM/ODM service covers custom dimensions, finishes and joinery details to an architect's or designer's own drawings.
